Counter Gas Theft Operations (CGTO) team Nawabshah conducted a raid on a hotel using direct gas from Distribution pipelines for running a power generator of 15 Kwatt for electrification of hotel. Connected load was 180 cft/hr at 2 psi pressure. FIR is being lodged and claim of stolen gas will also be raised accordingly.
In two separate cases, Gas Utility Court, District East Karachi convicted accused Muhammad Asad and Abdullah after payment of Rs. 327,800 and Rs. 527,300 respectively to SSGC as Quantum of losses and fine of Rs. 10,000 each for commercial purposes of running a kitchen and tandoor on direct line. Cases were registered at SSGC Police Station.
