Consequent to Mr. Zuhair Siddiqui\u2019s resignation from the office of Managing Director,\u00a0 Sui\u00a0 Southern Gas Company, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources has appointed Mr. Shoaib Warsi as the new MD of the Company.\u00a0 The notification\u00a0 of\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0 Warsi\u2019s\u00a0 appointment\u00a0 was\u00a0 issued by the Ministry on Thursday\u00a0 after the former MD submitted his resignation on personal grounds after leading the organization for around two years.<\/p>\n
Mr.\u00a0 Shoaib\u00a0 Warsi\u00a0 brings\u00a0 in high level of professional experience as his marathon\u00a0 association with the gas utility spans over 37 years, mainly with Company\u2019s Distribution and Transmission divisions spread over its franchise areas\u00a0 of\u00a0 Sindh\u00a0 and Balochistan. Having completed his MS in Environmental Engineering\u00a0 from\u00a0 NED University and BE (Mechanical) from Sindh University Jamshoro, he came into the folds of SSGC in 1977 as Trainee Engineer.<\/p>\n
Over\u00a0 the years he made his way up the organizational cadres and went on to serve\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 as\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 GM\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Distribution),\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SGM\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Distribution-North),\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SGM (Unaccounted-for-Gas)\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 last\u00a0\u00a0 served\u00a0\u00a0 as\u00a0\u00a0 Senior\u00a0 General\u00a0 Manager (Transmission).\u00a0\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0 Warsi\u00a0 has\u00a0 been\u00a0 largely\u00a0 attributed\u00a0 in\u00a0 Company\u2019s accomplishments\u00a0 in\u00a0 design\u00a0 and\u00a0 construction of a number of strategically important\u00a0\u00a0 pipeline\u00a0\u00a0 network\u00a0 projects,\u00a0 system\u00a0 reinforcement,\u00a0 pipeline rehabilitation\u00a0 schemes,\u00a0 Town\u00a0 Border\u00a0 Stations\u00a0 (TBSs) and Customer Meter Stations (CMSs).<\/p>\n
Mr.\u00a0 Warsi\u00a0 has\u00a0 been actively involved in the design of Automatic Pressure Management\u00a0 System\u00a0 (APMS)\u00a0 for\u00a0 installing on Pressure Regulating Stations (PRSs)\u00a0 to\u00a0 maintain\u00a0 optimum\u00a0 pressures\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 distribution network for reduction\u00a0 of\u00a0 gas\u00a0 losses\u00a0 and\u00a0 has\u00a0 represented\u00a0 the organization in many national\u00a0 and\u00a0 international\u00a0 conferences.\u00a0 He\u00a0 enjoys\u00a0 excellent\u00a0 personal rapport\u00a0\u00a0 with\u00a0\u00a0 Company\u2019s\u00a0 stakeholders\u00a0 including\u00a0 industrial\u00a0 and\u00a0 trade associations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
