JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to ensure gas dispatch in a controlled manner according to requirements of consumers/ distribution and to ensure transport of natural of gas into Distribution Mains at safe and adequate pressures & volume as per specifications. This position also manages the safe transportation of Gas Condensate from LHF Liquids Handling Facility to Oil Refineries. Ensuring proper condensate specification.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage daily operational plan for execution and maintain smooth operation of gas system without interruptions in supply and ensure adequate gas pressure and volume in pipelines according to forecast and demand
2. Develop daily supply strategy including line pack, targets and system pressure requirements while preparing gas control system data sheet on daily basis, monitor the system for gas balance between sale & purchase and generate on daily basis demand forecast.
3. Monitor the transmission system pressures of different PODs (Point Of Delivery), SMSs (Sales Meter Station) and HQ (Head Quarter) compressors.
4. Ensure daily delivery of large industrial gas volumes, BTUs (British Thermal Unit), and information for use in forecasting and reconciliation
5. Ensure pipeline targets are within operational limits 
6. Ensure all Control Room Management (CRM) activities are adequate and accurate
7. Respond to any emergency of line rupture & normalize system in least time while resolving system related issues.
8. Implement Gas System Emergency Operating Plans when required and respond effectively to irregularities, abnormal, and emergency conditions.
9. Manage to discontinue gas service to specified areas in case of emergencies or gas shortages.
10. Maintain and generate daily and monthly reports and maintain clean & safe work environment
11. Supervise bidding process for hiring new contractor for transportation of gas condensate from Hyderabad to Karachi and technically evaluation of bidders.
12. Responsible for preparation of condensate transportation bill.
Resolve issues in decanting of condensate at Refinery. 
13. Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
14. Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
15. Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
16. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
17. Perform any other task assigned by senior management.
