TCF Rahbar motivates SSGC employees for mentorship

NEWSThe Rahbar team from The Citizens Foundation (TCF) were in SSGC on March 24, 2014 to give a presentation to the Company employees. The presentation, delivered by Naima Hasan, HoD TCF Rahbar was meant to motivate the SSGC employees to become TCF volunteers so that they can provide mentorship and guidance to the students of TCF schools in their vicinity on a weekend. Ms. Hasan explained the program structure in detail and procedures for enrolment.

She said that the Rahbar volunteers are expected to encourage a positive thought process and help TCF students develop a roadmap for the future.

Prior to the presentation, a video was shown to the SSGC audience that showed the phenomenal growth of TCF from the humble beginnings in 1985 to the non-profit organization responsible for running around 900 plus schools with an enrolment of 125,000 students. During the Q&A session, forms were distributed to those employees interested in becoming the volunteers for TCF.

Shaista Sheikh, AGM (IT) who being an active TCF volunteer was instrumental in arranging the Rahbar Team’s visit to SSGC shared her mentorship experiences with the audience. Shahbaz Islam, DGM (CCD/OD) expressed the hope that SSGC employees will contribute in community development by becoming TCF volunteers. Syed Imran Ahmed, DCM (CCD) was the emcee. He ended the program by quoting an apt phrase, ‘Volunteers are seldom paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are PRICELESS!
