It is heartening to note that SSGC I is demonstrating an unfaltering I commitment towards the cause of education and in doing so has set an example for other organizations to emulate.
This was stated by chief guest Begum Saeeda Soomro, District Nazima, Jacobabad while speaking at an impressive inaugural ceremony held at the premises of Government Primary School, Bebrak Jakhrani Goth, Jacobabad in December 2007.
Addressing the audience consisting of teachers, school children and community leaders, Begum Saeeda said that the need of the hour was creating the right infrastructure to facilitate students to learn in ideal classroom setting that would enhance their productivity. She appreciated SSGC for constructing the school that was previously operating under a tree and also for providing pupils with uniforms, shoes and furniture items.
The Nazima also lauded SSGC for constructing a Computer Hall at the Government Girls High School, Mukhtarkar Mohallah and hoped that it would increase computer literacy.
Speaking on the occasion, Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman Akhoond, the then SGM (MS), SSGC said that the Company has embarked upon the adoption, construction and renovation of schools in Sindh and Balochistan through continuous need assessment and mentioned some of the projects that it had successfully completed in the recent past.
In his speech, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Buriro, EDO Education, Jacobabad said that he was confident that SSGC's initiative would go a long way in spreading literacy in the area.
Mir Sajjad Hussain Jakhrani, Taluka Nazim, Jacobabad said that the citizens of the area were extremely appreciative of SSGC's support and hoped that in the future too the Company would work hand in hand with the local leadership and community.
