Mr. Shahid Aziz Siddiqui is presently Chairman State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan. Mr Siddiqui holds a first Division Master Degree from the Karachi University and a Post Graduate Degree in Development Economics from the University of Cambridge U.K. Mr. Siddiqui topped the CSS examination of 1968. He has successfully completed all the parts of the Board Development Series conducted by Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and is a Certified Board Director by PICG/IFC. He had formerly held the positions of Managing Director, Rice Export Corporation of Pakistan, Chairman, National Highway Authority, Director General, Ports and Shipping and Director General Hajj, Embassy of Pakistan, Jeddah. Mr. Siddiqui has also been the Commissioner, Karachi Division and Deputy Commissioner of the Districts of Thatta, Sanghar and Larkana. In addition he has held the position of Director Excise and Taxation, Sindh and many other assignments in the Federal and Provincial Governments.

Mr. Zuhair Siddiqui is the managing director of SSGC. A highly experienced professional, Zuhair Siddiqui who was previously DMD (Corporate Services) has been one of the key members of the SSGC’s top management since 2001 when he joined the Company as GM (IT). As DMD (CS) he was in charge of Management Services, Customer Services and IT Department. Before taking over as DMD (CS) in 2011, Mr. Siddiqui had prolific stints as SGM (Management Services) and SGM (Customer Services) in charge of various key departments including Customer Relations, IT, Services and Corporate Communications. As GM (IT), Mr. Siddiqui gave the Department a new technology vision and leadership for implementing IT initiatives that helped SSGC become one of the most IT-enabled organizations in Pakistan. Before joining SSGC, Mr. Siddiqui held a senior position in Management Information Systems at Civil Aviation Authority.

An M. S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University, USA and B.E. (Electronic Engineering) from the University of Karachi, Mr. Siddiqui started his illustrious career as Trainee Engineer in Hewlett Packard, USA and went on to work in a number of technology companies there.

The MD took over from Mr. Azim Iqbal Siddiqui, who retired from the Company after serving it illustriously for 38 years.

Mr. Ayaz Dawood is Chief Executive, BRR Investments (Pvt) Ltd. (Managers of BRR Guardian Modaraba and Crescent Standard Modaraba). He was Founder/Director of Dawood Islamic Bank, Dawood Family Takaful, Dawood Equities Limited, and Dawood Capital Management, managers of First Dawood Mutual Fund, Dawood Money Market Fund and Dawood Islamaic Fund. He is currently Vice Chairman, Leasing Association of Pakistan and was Chairman Modaraba Association of Pakistan. He is a graduate in Economics from McGill University, Montreal and MBA in Finance and Money and Financial Markets with distinction from Colombia Business School, New York. He is also a member of Young Presidents Organization.

An established barrister, Mirza Mahmood Ahmad is a partner at Minto and Mirza, Advocates and Solicitors. He has diverse legal experience of representing a number of leading public and private enterprises including State Bank of Pakistan, American Express Bank and PICIC Bank (now NIB). Mr. Ahmad has several publications/consultancy and research projects to his name including 'Harmonizing the Code of Corporate Governance with other Laws/Regulations in Pakistan', a research study for SECP funded by the UNDP. Mr. Ahmad is also a Director on the Board of Pakistan Engineering Company Ltd., member, Lahore High Court Bar Association and Punjab Bar Council and is fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society. Mr. Ahmad is an LLM from University of Canterbury and LLB and BA from the University of Punjab. He was a senior associate at Azmat Saeed and Co. in 1991-92 and has also practiced at Nisar Law Associates from 1989 to 1991. Mr. Ahmad teaches Corporate Law in Quaid-e-Azam Law College and at Executive Development Centre in Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Mr. Mohammad Arif Hameed, Chief Executive and Managing Director, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is a mechanical engineer by profession registered with Pakistan Engineering Council. Mr. Hameed joined SNGPL in 1978 and has held various key management positions in the Company. He is also a Masters in Administrative Sciences and a Law graduate from University of Punjab, Lahore. He has extensive experience in the fields of Billing, Sales, Logistics Support, Procurement and Legal. Mr. Hameed has also served as the head of Lahore Region.

Mr. Nessar Ahmed is an Investment and Development Banker by profession and graduated as an MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi in 1973. He joined a leading development financial institution of the country and was head of various departments which included Internal Audit, Project Financing and Merchant Financing. In 1990, he joined a leading investment bank as its President and remained in that position until 2003 when the bank was merged with a commercial bank. Mr. Ahmed has also played a pioneering role in the introduction of a number of financial products.

A chemical engineer by profession, Dr. Shahab Alam is serving as Director General Gas in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. Having rich experience of over 32 years, he started his career from Pakistan Refinery and worked as visiting professional for about 2 years at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Colorado, USA. In 2011, he has had a brief stint as Managing Director and CEO of Government Holdings (Pvt.) Limited. Dr. Alam is on the Board of Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan and has previously been on the boards of Interstate Gas (Pvt.) Limited and SNGPL. Dr. Alam has also served on deputation at National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad as Head of Department of Management Sciences. Currently he is the visiting faculty at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad where he imparts ‘Renewable Energy’ to MS students. Dr. Alam has also provided training and consultancy services in the private sector in the areas of energy audit, project management and health, safety and environment. Having more than twenty publications and peer reviews to his credit, he did his Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi in 1978 and Masters in Chemical and Petroleum Refinery Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, USA in 1990. He did his second Master in Energy Management and Policy in 1992 followed by PhD in 1994 in the same discipline from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Mr. Wazir Ali Khoja, Chairman/Managing Director, National Investment Trust Ltd. is a seasoned banker with more than thirty two years of professional experience of banking, finance, treasury and mutual fund industry. Having started his career from Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) in 1965, Mr. Khoja went on to become its Senior Executive Vice President in 1996. He was the head of HR Division besides being responsible for managing retail banking products and Sports Division. In the capacity of General Manager in MCB, he successfully turned around its branches in Sindh into profitable organizations. As Chief of Sports Division, MCB, Mr. Khoja contributed in identifying and grooming Pakistan's young talent to compete internationally in cricket, hockey and football. He also holds the position of Member, Governing Body of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Mr. Khoja has also been DMD, NIT in 1994-95. Presently he is member on the boards of a number of institutions including Bank Al Habib Ltd, Askari Bank Ltd, Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd, Packages Ltd, Pak Suzuki Motors Company Ltd., Pak Telecom Mobile Ltd. (unlisted), PSO, SNGPL and SSGC. Mr. Khoja is a commerce graduate from the University of Sindh.

An electronic engineer with a post graduate in electric engineering from the USA, Air Vice Marshal Azhar Maud (Retd.) served for 34 years in the engineering branch of Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Besides undertaking mandatory command at staff assignment in PAF, Mr. Maud has also been involved in the induction of some major weapon systems. He was a member of the project team that started the joint design and development of JF-17 Fighter Aircraft with Chinese aeronautical industry. The Aircraft has since been inducted in the PAF. His last major assignment was in the Ministry of IT and Telecom as Chairman and CEO of National Telecommunication Corporation from July 1999 to July 2003. During this tenure, Mr. Azhar Maud was instrumental in the launch of Paksat-1, Pakistan’s first geo-stationary communication satellite in the orbit.

Agha Sher Shah is currently Chairman and Chief Executive of Bandhi Sugar Mills. Prior to his current role, he was Senior Portfolio Manager of a multi-billion dollar portfolio in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. Mr. Shah started his career as an investment analyst covering consumer, energy and finance sectors of the S&P 500 in the US equity market. In his investment career of 24 years at ADIA he has held senior portfolio management positions in US and Global equities. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Rice University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.
