Qualification & Experience:

Engineering Graduate (16 years of education), preferably mechanical with 17 years of post-qualification experience including 5 years’ experience in senior management / leadership role. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector shall be preferred.

Responsibilities:

    Job Summary

    The purpose of this position is to provide a leadership role in the areas of transmission O&M, compression, corrosion control, measurement and services. The incumbent is responsible to provides overall strategic direction and leadership for the Transmission business of SSGC, develop profitable business opportunities for Transmission operations, including pipeline expansions and integration with gas fields and terminals, maintain relationships with distribution SBUs, major industry contacts like fertilizer, power and bulk consumers, regulators and major service providers and provide direction and oversight to gas control, operations, maintenance, compression and measurement. The position also arranges for the provision of facilities maintenance activities at specified SSGC offices and locations covering HVAC, lifts, elevators, electrical installations and equipment.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Planning, designing, feasibility, budgeting, recourse management, co-ordination, implementation, control and monitoring of the gas pipeline projects to rehabilitate and enhance the existing pipeline network as per various gas pipeline growth requirements.
    • Preparation of gas pipeline projects related documentation, reports and presentations for Ministry, OGRA, board of directors and management for formal approvals.
    • Manage a team of engineers involved in different activities of pipeline projects through prompt downward communication and authority delegation to gain best output/efficiencies for time bound target.
    • Transmission network simulation studies and analysis for existing, future indigenes and gas import infrastructure.
    • In house design and engineering of pipeline projects.
    • Look after computer Aided design (CAD) Centre.
    •  To prepare feasibility studies for notes to management &Boards approval.
    • To prepare financial and technical specification for planned projects.
    • To coordinate with Regulatory Affairs regarding OGRA technical matters pertaining to projects
    • Projects progress reports for management / board and ministry.
    • Project management activities including project scheduling.
    • Coordination, liaison with construction and operation department and supervision / follow-up of project constructional activities.
    • To administer and operate contracts, coordinate for project implementation, control and monitoring.
    • To acquire land in collaboration with legal department.
    • To evaluate bids/material procurement coordination.
    • Coordination with HSE on project implementation.
    • To liaise with government and municipal authorities for approval etc.
    • pertaining to pipeline project activities.
    • To supervise/monitor operational issues after signing of GSAs; route surveys, detailed drawing and construction drawings.
    • To recommend optimization enhancement to existing transmission networks.
    • To supervise/ensure introduction of new technologies and soft wares for route surveys and other company activities.
    • To prepare the revenue and capital budgets of the department
    • To implement/monitor the approved budget of the department.
    • To coordinate with transmission, distribution and projects departments.
    • To manage, motivation and train the department’s staff.
    • To develop/improve the SOPs for all sections of the department.
    • To prepare project documents for approval of the BOD and OGRA.
    • To participate in the negotiation and finalization of Gas Sales Agreements.
    • To negotiate and finalize construction contracts for the company’s development/ enhancement work.
    • To maintain and ensure proper Instrumentation & Controls along the pipeline, Valve Assemblies, SMS, CMS, POD & others
    • To maintain, upgrade and provide real-time and accurate reporting through SCADA Data Center.
    • To ensure timely maintenance and upgradation of High Worth SCADA Sites 
    • To ensure Power Generation as per the requirement of the Company on a given day without interruption.
    • To ensure smooth function of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning on a given day.

    • To ensure uninterrupted, stable and adequate Electrical Power Distribution across the Franchise Network.
    • To supervise the design and construction of new CP stations
    • To supervise the operations of all Cathodic Protection Stations spread all over the company’s Transmission network.
    • To analyze the Cathodic Protection survey reports and feedback on coating deterioration.
    • To advise and monitor the rectification activities in response to the findings of the field surveys.
    • To revalidate the Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify the vulnerable sections.
    • To ensure succession planning by identifying, developing and maintaining pool of successors for key positions within the division / department.
    • Foster and encourage continuous learning and development culture and encourage continuous education at all levels within the division / department.
